Background
The eXtended Artificial Intelligence (xtAI) Labs provide theoretical knowledge and especially practical skills about the design and development of XtAI applications. This incarnation of an xtAI Lab gives you a kick-start into tools (like game engines or interaction technique libraries) as well as workflow (based on git and gitlab). In the process, you will meet students from other fields who want to learn the same skill set from a slightly different perspective.
Tasks
Your project goals will overlap with the general Game Lab 1 goals from the Games Engineering program:
- Develop a computer game
- Improve your prototype based on
- Supervisor feedback
- Playtest insights
But will also feature some dedicated requirements:
- Use an HMD (and thus develop a virtual reality game)
- Lab duration one semester
- Less required playtime
- Higher requirements for independent working and thematic depth (as xtAI Labs are master courses).
- Final deliverables (according to FSBs)
- Report
- Presentation (including demo) with subsequent discussion
