denk Bild
This project is already completed.

Background
The denkbares GmbH offers intelligent support systems for technical services. One of their applications enables users to receive information about components of machines by scanning them with a smartphone or tablet. For the automatic recognition of components a large set of training data is required, i.e., annotated pictures of the components. Denkbares GmbH developed three different approaches to support the process of training data generation. This project aims to evaluate the three approaches in user studies. Based on the study results the approaches will be refined further.
The project offers great insights into the work of denkbares GmbH, especially regarding AI applications and image recognition!
Tasks
The denk Bild project will focus on the following tasks:
- Evaluation of the existing methods via user studies
- Development of concepts and/or prototypes for the optimization of the methods
The project will be organized according to the basic principles of SCRUM, an agile project management framework. A group of 4 to 8 students will work as a team.
Prerequisites
- Research methods and statistic skills
- Interest in user studies
- Programming skills (beneficial)
