HCI Group at the CHI 23 Conference in Hamburg

15 May 2023

Information

The CHI Conference in Hamburg 2023 has wrapped up and was a great experience for us. The conference was held in a hybrid format: Conference attendees could participate either online via Zoom or in person at the Hamburg Convention Center. Almost 4000 people attended the conference in-person. Out of 3182 papers submitted, 879 publications were accepted. The CHI conference is one of the most important venues in our field, so we were thrilled to get a chance to attend here in Germany. The next conference will be held in Honolulu, Hawaii.

The HCI group presented their work, along with the PIIS Group and the Psychologische Ergonomie group.

We are pleased to receive a “Best Paper Honorable Mention Award” for the publication “Are Embodied Avatars Harmful to our Self-Experience? The Impact of Virtual Embodiment on Body Awareness”.
