Introduction to GameAudio using the audio middleware FMOD

10 May 2023

As part of a guest lecture by Nikolaus Böll, are pleased to offer an introduction to the topic of adaptive audio using FMOD.

What exactly makes good game audio in a game? Is it even possible to answer that with such a simple question?
In this talk, we will delve deeper into this topic and provide you with an impression of how you can work with audio as creatively and effectively as possible using the audio middleware Fmod. Whether it’s sound design, atmosphere, or music, FMOD offers almost limitless possibilities for working creatively and intuitively in all of these areas.

The kick-off event will take place on Monday, May 15th from 12-2 pm in the Turing Lecture Hall (GL1 lecture slot).

Afterward, at least two more practical sessions are planned to take place in E37. Depending on your interest and availability, these sessions will likely be scheduled during the Engine Support times.
While the content of the guest post aligns best with the tasks of the GL1 module, all interested students are invited to attend!

Further details regarding the content and schedule will be announced shortly.
