Multi-User VR: Body Swapping and Self-Compassion
This project is already completed.
Background
In this project, you will evaluate and refine a concept of virtual perspective taking (body swapping) to increase self-compassion. This project aims to specify how body swapping affects self-compassion and, based on a user evaluation, to identify the next steps in further development of an existing prototype.
Tasks
The project will focus on the following tasks:
- Execution of a user study to evaluate an existing body swapping prototype
- Quantitative and qualitative evaluation of study results
- Derivation of design options and further development
- Development of a new body swapping prototype
The project will be organized according to the basic principles of SCRUM, an agile project management framework for software development. A group of 4 to 8 students will work as a team.
Prerequisites
- Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods
- Interest in virtual reality and Unity
