HCI, PIIS and PsyErgo at the IEEE VR 24 Conference in Orlando

The 31st IEEE Conference on Virtual Reality and 3D User Interfaces (IEEE VR 2024) took place in the Disney Contemporary Resort in Orlando, Florida from 16th to 21st of March.

The HCI and PIIS groups presented two journal papers, two conference papers, two workshop papers and three posters. The poster “Investigating Incoherent Depth Perception

Features in Virtual Reality using Stereoscopic Impostor-Based Rendering” which was a collaboration with the TH Köln and the TU Munich received a Best Poster Award.

The IEEE VR is considered one of the largest and most important conferences in the field of virtual and augmented reality. Out of 627 papers submited, 79 publications were accepted as journal papers (12.6%) and 101 as conference papers (28.7%).

We had a great time, enjoyed meeting XR researchers from all over the world and exchanging ideas. We are looking forward to the next IEEE VR 2025 in Saint Malo, France.
