Web-based Supervision Monitor

Description

Background

A Supervision Monitor (SM) is a tool that can be used to control a virtual reality experience in real-time. It has multiple components serving different purposes, such as seeing the status of the VR user, in terms of position, and as direct stream from the HMD, visualisations of user’s physiological data, several variables to control the VR environment etc. The layout of the SM must be configurable by the user since different use cases might demand different UIs. At any point in time, the SM should be able to communicate with the VR application in real-time. SM is one of the core components of the VIA-VR platform

Tasks

  1. Create a configurable web-based SM
  2. Design a standard UI for general use cases
  3. Establish real-time communication with VR application
  4. Preferred development platform - Electronjs with typescript
